Process

The Gardiner Edit Method.

Three movements — Edit, Source, Execute — that take a property from first conversation to finished landscape. Tailored to the home, never rushed, and always considered.

Step 1

Edit

Discover opportunities. Define the vision.

We begin on the property, walking the land in the company of the people who live with it. We listen for the rituals — morning coffee, summer suppers, autumn arrivals — and the architectural cues the house already gives. From this, we edit: removing what doesn't belong, surfacing what could be, and committing the vision to paper.

What's Delivered

  • On-site discovery
  • Architectural & site analysis
  • Concept direction
  • Phased opportunity map

Step 2

Source

Select plants, materials, stone, and finishes.

With the vision agreed, we begin the long, careful work of selection. Natural stone from regional quarries. Specimen trees from growers we've known for years. Furnishings, lighting, urns, fabrics. Every piece is chosen for how it will weather, settle, and belong to the home a decade from now.

What's Delivered

  • Planting plans
  • Material schedules & stone selections
  • Furnishings & lighting curation
  • Sample boards & site mockups

Step 3

Execute

Coordinate resources. Guide implementation.

We introduce the right contractors, review their proposals, and remain on site through construction to safeguard the design. We do not pour the footings — but we are there when the first stone is set, and the last shrub placed. The result is a property that arrives whole, without the seams.

What's Delivered

  • Contractor introductions & bid review
  • On-site construction oversight
  • Trade coordination
  • Final walkthrough
